Milwaukee’s Best Premium

Milwaukee’s Best Premium
Serving Type: 12 oz. can, poured into a mug
Milwaukee’s Best is Miller’s second entrance into the low-end macro category. There are tons others by the other Big Three, but I’m not going to do them all. It pours with a large foam head and decent initial retention, but an extra few seconds quickly erases it. The nose is full of sweet malts with a slight astringency and a skunky hint.
While there’s tons of active carbonation, the overly sweet malts seem to overpower. What’s left is a slick or oily mouthfeel and a touch of alcohol on the finish. A sickly sweet aftertaste lingers. I guess the theory is if the aftertaste is bad, you’ll want to take another sip quickly, so you can wash it away.
Final Verdict: D-
*This rating is based on my thoughts and opinions of this beer as compared to those similar to it.
